Brazilian Butt Lift

Brazilian Butt Lift

It’s official: butts are the new boobs and the rule seems to be, the bigger the better – curvy ladies rejoice! However, if the shape or volume of your behind isn’t quite what you’d like it to be, there is a great solution – the Brazilian Butt Lift. This procedure, involving a fat transfer to the buttocks, is highly sought after, with many women venturing to overseas surgeons over the past few years to achieve their desired look. However, the Butt Lift has now arrived in Australia, and Verve is delighted to be one of the few Australian clinics offering this procedure locally.

If you are looking to add a little va-va-voom to your booty, read on to discover everything you need to know about the Brazilian Butt Lift.

What is Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Butt Lift is exactly what it sounds like – a procedure to lift and enhance the appearance of the buttocks to correct drooping skin or a misshapen profile. A Brazilian Butt lift also corrects the shape of the buttocks, but involves adding volume either through a fat transfer to the buttocks.

Does a Brazilian Butt Lift involve Fat Transfer or Buttock Implants?

Both fat transfer to buttocks and buttock implants can be used to create added volume, however at Verve Cosmetic Clinic, we use the method of fat transfer, which by far the preferred option for a number of reasons:

  • The results appear more natural
  • There is a lower risk of complication or infection
  • Fat can be removed from the back or ‘love handles’ and redistributed to give you an attractive ‘S’ shaped silhouette

How Does the Procedure Work?

Firstly, the fat will be removed from the donor area using our Liposculpture machine. Some of the most commonly used donor sites include the stomach, thighs, back, upper arms, or hips. Removing fat from areas such as the love handles and lower back will help to create a curvy, S shaped silhouette and will complement your newly augmented buttocks.

The extracted fat is then purified, separating the fluid from the fat cells so that these can be reinjected. The injected fat is carefully molded to achieve the desired countering effect.

How Much Down-Time Is There After a Brazilian Butt Lift?

Recovery time for this procedure is about one week. You may sit for short periods of time by applying pressure to the thigh and the lower buttock. The buttocks may appear swollen or bruised for the first 4-8 weeks after surgery.
