eDermastamp: An Innovation in Skin Rejuvenation

eDermastamp: An Innovation in Skin Rejuvenation

With the start of autumn, many of our clients wish to give their skin a boost to increase skin health and appearance and protect their skin over the colder months. The cosmetic industry has recently seen the introduction of innovative new treatments which simulates the patient’s own collagen production. This results in a significant improvement to an incredibly wide range of skin complaints. These treatments are revolutionizing the way we treat the signs of ageing and skin damage by harnessing the skin’s own natural healing power. One such treatment, from which we have seen incredible results is the eDermastamp treatment system.

What is eDermastamp treatment?
eDermastamp is a vibrational stamping device which harnesses the body’s own natural healing capacity, by using multiple fine needles to evenly penetrate the skin. A shallow needle depth is used to stimulate the skin’s repair process with minimal trauma. The depth of the penetration of the needles is key to the success of the eDermastamp procedure and hence the technician’s experience and skin knowledge becomes crucial. The depth is just enough to stimulate the dermis but not so deep that the skin is damaged and marks remain on the skin. During the process, tiny dots of blood will appear on the skin, which indicate that the needles have adequately penetrated the skin. The skin responds by increasing blood flow and collagen production in the face, resulting in skin which is firm, plump and clear.

The Procedure
A numbing cream is applied to the face, then the skin is cleansed thoroughly before commencing needling of the face in circular motions. The tip of the eDermastamp apparatus will glide over your skin. A naturally occurring acid (the building block to collagen production) is infused at the same time which also assists with the hydration of your skin. (remove: creating stimulating channels and an even flushing of the skin.) The treatment usually takes a total of 1.5 hours.

What makes eDermastamp special?
The eDermastamp precisely penetrates in order to minimise skin trauma and maximize results. The system, is unique as opposed to other skin stamping systems because it can be customized to suit each patient and ensure the best possible results. The needles themselves are fully adjustable with sizes ranging from 0.3mm and increasing in tiny 0.1mm increments. Other skin stamping systems are much less adjustable, with 0.5mm increments which do not allow for a high level of customization to suit patient needs.

How long before results are visible?
The (remove: is very little) downtime with the eDermastamp procedure varies with each client, but often clients are able to return to work on the following day with makeup applied. With the minimal trauma to the skin, there will be mild redness and flushing for up to 5-7 days with a small amount of swelling. You will notice the results of your treatment from 6 weeks onwards (as this is the period of time it takes for your body to make collagen), we advise our clients to achieve the desired results a course of 4-6 treatments is required spaced 6 weeks apart with a maintenance treatment twice yearly. (remove: but the best part is that your skin will continue to improve over a period of 6-12 months, meaning you can look forward to almost a year of constant improvement in your skin.
