Breast Augmentation Sydney
Breast augmentation is a cosmetic surgical procedure to enhance your natural breast size, improve the balance of your figure and improve your self-confidence. Breast Augmentation can be achieved in a number of ways, with the most popular method using silicone implants.
At Verve Cosmetic Clinic, Dr Nasser specialises in providing breast augmentation with silicone breast implants. Whether your desire is to simply enhance your bust line, or to improve volume lost due to weight loss, childbirth or aging, Dr Nasser executes all forms of breast related surgery to suit what you seek. We will provide you with the facts to ensure that the decision that you make is the right one for you and with professional help.
With breast augmentation, it helps if your doctor is a woman who can better understand the trepidation, as well as the excitement of your pending cosmetic surgery. You can count on our experience to guide you through the entire procedure from start to finish. We will also assist you in choosing the size and type of silicone implant you need and offer a number of sizes to try before surgery.
What Happens during a Breast Augmentation?
During the breast augmentation procedure, incisions are made underneath the breasts, with placement depending on your body shape, type of implants being used and the size. Usually scars are minimal as it follows the natural folds of your skin in this area. Breast implants will be placed in a pocket over or under your chest muscle. Once the implant is firmly in place, the incisions will be closed with sutures or surgical tape for healing. A typical breast augmentation using implants will take between one to two hours to complete.
Does a Breast Augmentation Hurt?
The breast augmentation procedure is performed under twilight anaesthetic, which means that breast augmentation should not hurt the patient when the incisions are being made and the breasts modified. This ensures maximum comfort when the procedure is being performed.
Are there any Side Effects from a Breast Augmentation?
Expect that after surgery there will be some pain, swelling and bruising in and around your breasts. This will fade over time but it can sometimes last for around one month after the procedure. Pain medications can be prescribed for patient comfort.
After two to three years, and every two years thereafter, we recommend that people with silicone breast implants have an MRI screening to ensure there are no silent ruptures.
Is there any Downtime Associated with a Breast Augmentation?
There is some downtime associated with having a breast augmentation and patients will take time off work for recovery from the procedure. Most women are able to return to work one week or two after their breast augmentation procedure, but we advise that you avoid strenuous activity that could raise your pulse and blood pressure.
Who are Suitable Candidates for a Breast Augmentation?
The ideal candidates for breast augmentation are women who are concerned about the size of their breasts or those who have lost breast volume and shape after pregnancy, weight loss or aging. Similarly, women who have asymmetrical breasts may also look to this procedure for results.
Although there is no definite age limit for breast enhancement with implants, suitable candidates are often those over 18 whose breasts have fully developed. Candidates should also be healthy and have realistic expectations of what this procedure can achieve.

This will depend on you and what size you seek. Most women who proceed with a breast augmentation at Verve Cosmetics are seeking subtle enhancements rather than multiple-cup upgrades. We will assist you in choosing the size and type of silicone implant you need, and offer a number of sizes to insert in your bra before surgery, so you can test different sizes before making a final decision.
We bring to the table our clinical judgment, and our experience with breast augmentation surgery and the implants themselves. We will explain to you a particular implant’s successfulness, risks and cost, as well as how it will suit your specific needs. However, remember that cup sizes and breast implant sizes do not correspond with each other closely. It will depend on multiple factors, including the type and size of the implant, your breast size and the shape of your chest wall. Whatever your choice, there is an implant size for everyone.
